Optimizing the timing of calcium carbonate, sevelamer, and blood pressure medications.
Phosphate binders work only when they bind to phosphorus directly in your digestive tract during meal consumption.
Always take binders within 5 to 10 minutes before or during your first bite of food. Keep blood pressure medications on schedule as advised by your nephrologist, and avoid taking antihypertensives right before a dialysis session if prone to hypotension.
